Indonesian FA no longer in control
Sources in Indonesia are claiming that the Committee to Save Indonesia Football (KPSI) has taken over control from the ruling Indonesian Football Association PSSI.
The KPSI was formed with the 452 members who had left the 578 member PSSI, and is temporarily in charge of running football in the country.
They will hold a congress meeting on January 21, in Bandung, Indonesia, while an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) will be held on March 6 in a bid to solve the chaos which currently surrounds the Indonesian Super League (ISL).
The reports go on to say that the KPSI has been in touch with both FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation throughout.
Former PSSI executive committee member Tony Apriliani, who is the unofficial head of KPSI, will be appointed KPSI temporary Chief Executive.
According to Apriliani, KPSI will run the PSSI after receiving a mandate from their 452 members in a meeting at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta on December 28.
The main agenda for the KPSI's EGM will be to call for a vote of no-confidence in PSSI chairman Djohar Arifin and his associates, with the hope that their action will bring a modicum of normality back to Indonesian football after several turbulent months.
